How LG can help you stay pollution free this cold season

In Kenya, according to a United Nations report of 2016 titled “Actions on Air Quality”, at least 14,300 Kenyans die every year from health conditions which can be traced back to indoor air pollution with pneumonia cited as one of the biggest killers associated with air pollution.
Our capital city has poor air quality as evident in its congested streets where passenger vehicles, trucks and motorcycle taxis jostle for space releasing clouds of black smoke.
Indoor air pollution that is hardly detected causes 4.3 million premature deaths worldwide every year. This could be found in households that burn firewood, charcoal and kerosene especially during this cold season of June and July.
Burning these fuels releases pollutants such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, poly-aromatic hydrocarbons as well as particulate matter of varying sizes. Further, leading to individuals developing respiratory infections such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, laryngitis, pneumonia and influenza.
“A polluted indoor environment is lethal for children, pregnant women and babies since they are susceptible to airborne allergens that could cause respiratory ailments. Our air purification uses a comprehensive filtration method to ensure particulate matter, harmful gases and allergens are eliminated, resulting in the purest air for family and loved ones,” says Moses Marji, LG East Africa Marketing Manager.
LG’s PuriCare system offers 360° filtration and coverage to ensure the whole room or house with its Clean Boost technology further enhancing the range of coverage, ensuring clean air reaches even the farthest corner of your home.
This system comes with a specially designed to have independently operational lower ducts to ensure that clean, filtered air is distributed at the ideal height for infants and toddlers since they spend most of the time playing or crawling on the ground.
Further, it is also equipped with a smart PM 1.0 and gas sensor to provide real-time readings of your indoor odors and particulate levels. The color-coded Distinct Odor Level Indicator independently displays and controls the odor quality indoors, even when the air pollution level is at its cleanest.
To ensure your family breathes clean, allergen-free air indoors, an air purifier is a cost-effective, eco-friendly, energy efficient and green solution.
