National Bank has donated foodstuff and other basic utilities to various
homes and institutions across its network during the Holy month of Ramadhan.
Speaking during the presentation of the items at
Mama Fatuma Children’s Home in Eastleigh, National Bank Director for Islamic
Banking Musa Adan said Ramadhan is a
special month of the year for Muslims faithfuls, when they conduct charity work, care for and share
with the less fortunate in the society.
“As a bank, even as we strive to serve our esteemed
customers, we also value and care for communities around us. We also ensure
that we give back to the society as appreciation for giving a chance to do
business with them as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
obligations. We wish all our esteemed customers, business partners and all
stakeholders a blessed Ramadhan,” said Musa.
Through its National Amanah wing, the Bank offers a
wide range of banking products and services that are Shari’ah compliant
targeting retail, SME and corporate clients.
The Bank works closely with the
Shari’ah Supervisory Board to ensure the products and services are compliant
with Islamic Shariah. The products and services are available to Muslim as well
as non-Muslim clients without restrictions.
