This LG oven responds to Kenyans growing sensitivity to eating right

Most of us, especially those seeking to lose weight, have heard of the popular weight loss mantra: exercise more and eat less.

Although exercise and eating less are often put together when looking for ways of cutting that extra fat in our body, these two pieces of advice do not always carry equal weight.

Moderate intensity exercise is essential for maintaining and improving an individual’s health. However, exercise alone may not give you the best results in terms of losing weight and staying healthy.

Research has shown that exercising to some extent can not only undermine your weight loss regime by making you feel hungrier, but also hoodwink you into believing that you can continue overindulging in junk food as a way of rewarding your body for exercising.

The sad part is that many individuals who exercise as a means of reducing weight and keeping healthy tend to overestimate how many calories or fats they burn during the exercise and gym regimes and as a result over-compensate by eating more junk foods resulting into more into more fats and calories than they burned.

Although exercise regimes have unquestionable impact in regards to losing weight and maintaining good health in general, the best way of doing such is through eating right. Striving to eat right has put great emphasis on fresh foods and home cooked meals.

Many people are now making efforts to reduce intake of fast foods. This comes at a very crucial point as recent statistics have shown that obesity and weight gain among Kenyans has increased from five percent to 17 percent between 2009 and 2015.

Take a step into any of the major supermarkets in the country and walk around the kitchenware sections. You will be amazed at the extent of innovation geared towards the kitchen. With a range of hi-tech kitchen appliances and connected gadgets, LG is one of the leading companies that aims to set the pace and being a thought leader when it comes to smart kitchen solutions.

LG’s Lightwave oven reduces unwanted fats in the foods you cook while containing Vitamin C and other nutrients, therefore creating healthier meals and in the process ensuring that you eat right.

LG electronics marketing manager East Africa, Moses Marji asserts that the expansion of Light-wave technology into its wide array of microwave ovens has made cooking a lot easier than ever before, leaving families and individuals with more time to spend doing other things.

“LG will always continue staying in the forefront in looking for ways to make families’ and individuals’ lives much easier, and healthy cooking and ensuring they eat right is a huge part of that,” he adds.

Even as more and more people attempt to cut back on fast foods, they may lack enough time required to prepare such meals on a daily basis. The smart kitchen is here with us to ensure that we eat right through maintaining health diets at all times.
